Tranquility reigned supreme, which is ideal for a week of disconnecting. There are a few hikes in the area to get some fresh air, but be warned, they're steep! You'll find small restaurants and cafes in Murat, a nearby town where you can also shop for groceries to enjoy cooking sessions in this gatehouse. Speaking of which, everything advertised is there, so there are no surprises upon arrival, rest assured! If you're lucky, you might even get to pet the castle cat! Finally, we would like to thank Maryse and Christophe for this pleasant stay at their property. And in particular, we thank Maryse for all the wonderful conversations we had together. We look forward to seeing you again in a different setting :) Dear travelers, have a wonderful stay! Dear hosts, see you soon!

A unique and very cozy place. We rented the gatehouse and thoroughly enjoyed this space, which has been designed with respect for the neighboring mountain manor. Everything is well-maintained and very clean. And the owner shares the history of this unique place with passion and erudition.

A gem! An extraordinary surprise hidden deep in the Haut Cantal region. A manor house decorated and furnished in Art Nouveau style by a famous Belgian decorator, Gustave Serrurier Bovy, entirely period-correct!

A gem to discover As soon as we entered the courtyard of the house we were greeted by the smiles of the new owners, kind, passionate people, who have the pharaonic project of making guest rooms there. It consists of a first building, called "The castle" built in 1858 by Auguste Felgères, postmaster in Murat, with the aim of owning a small country castle. A second building, attached to the castle called "the new house", was built in 1904. It includes the outbuildings (stable, shed, tack room, kitchen, cellar etc.) and service rooms. A caretaker's lodge was built in 1905, at the entrance to the property. A farmhouse completes the complex. The park measures approximately 1 hectare 700, planted with beautiful subjects. From its terrace, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the village of Dienne, the Santoire Valley and the Limon plateau. The building complex initially belonged to the Felgères family, until the 1990s. The property and the furniture were sold separately. Unfortunately, the furniture by the decorator Gustave Serrurier-Bovy was not sold in a single lot and everything was dispersed during the sale. The property was purchased in 1990 by two Parisian individuals, recognized experts in the history of this artist's work, who then mobilized for an intelligent restoration and the reconquest of its "Art Nouveau" furniture. The residence was purchased in 2015 by a passionate couple from the North who want to give this jewel its former soul. Not to be missed
